General Info

Well known Tasmanian property, known for its cuisine as well as a good standard of accommodation. The cabins are large, lounge/sitting area is part of this room and a balcony is accessed via glass doors. Bedding configuration is one queen-size bed and one double sofa bed. Ensuite bathroom with shower & hair dryer, balcony, tea & coffee maker, fridge, ceiling fan/heating & iron/ironing board. The Bay Restaurant, located in the main Lodge building has a stunning view of Great Oyster Bay. Opens daily for breakfast and dinner. Richardson's has views of Coles Bay and opens 10 am daily serving snacks, light lunches. In the summer months, opens for dinner as well. Small lobby, mountain resort style.

Location

Freycinet Lodge can be reached from Launceston, via Lake Leake (2 1/2 hours drive). A spectacular view of 'The Hazards' on Freycinet Peninsula from a lookout north of Cranbrook. Through Coles Bay township to the entrance to Freycinet National Park. The Lodge is 2 km from the entrance to the National Park. Activities: bird watching, history & nature of Freycinet, bush survival, rock pool & sea life search, sunset, 4WD tours, Wineglass Bay tour, walks, as well as outstanding food & wines.
