This is the perfect destination for "getting away from it all". Seclusion, pristine beaches & water, natural beauty of this tiny island, exclusive tent experience and home to turtles and birds. Wilson Island is closed during the month of February for the bird nesting season. Children 12 years and under are not catered for on Wilson Island. There are 6 permanent tents designed for ultimate comfort. They all have reef & ocean outlooks. Each tent has its own private shower located in the Washhouse. The Dressing area, toilets and vanities are also located in that building. Rates include meals, selected alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, snorkelling equipment. Meal are served at the Longhouse, an open air area where meals are taken. Breakfast is a Tropical buffet with Hot breakfast cooked to order. Lunch is a beautiful smorgasbord either at Longhouse or picnic style on the beach. Evening are spend with a Sunset drinks & canapes before dinner. The dinner table is set with candles, light music and a menu that changes daily. No lobby, check is done via Heron Island.

Location

Wilson Island is a tiny coral cay part of the Great Barrier Reef, located just north of the Tropic of Capricorn, 72 kilometres off the coast of Gladstone and 15 kilometres from nearby Heron Island. Return Launch transfers from Heron to Wilson Island are included in the tariff. Transfers from Gladstone to Heron Island are additional and not included.
