Distance to: Sofia - 160 km Plovdiv - 150 km Kavala - 170 km Pirin Golf & Country Club - 300 m Razlog - 7 km Banya village - 5 km Bansko resort is situated in Pirin National Park, which was added to UNESCO’s World heritage list in 1983. Every year Bansko hosts World Cup alpine ski races . It is the best and most modern Bulgarian ski resort with the longest ski season − from 15 Dec to 15 May. As of 2011, the ski area has 75 km (47 mi) of ski runs and 27 km of lifts and drags serving up to 24,500 people per hour. The variety of slopes is suitable for all skill levels − from beginners to accomplished experts. The two main ski centres of Chalin Valog (1100−1600 m) and Shiligarnika (1700−2500 m) are easily accessible with the new Gondola lift starting from Bansko.
