The new Design Hotel Royal was designed as the meeting point for lovers of games of intellect – chess, bridge, Sudoku and alike. The hotel is accessed through a small square called the Holiday Platz, which has been especially designed and paved. Next to it there is a French garden with plants of various shapes and sizes and lounge bar with an impressive view. The Design Hotel Royal is located right by the Lungomare coastal promenade. It has 54 luxury rooms and apartments that offer stunning views of Opatija s harbour and the entire Kvarner Bay. Next to the hotel reception there is the Royal Club Café complete with a library and comfortable sofas and tables to enjoy your favourite book or play popular board and logic games. On the lower floor of the hotel there is the Café Mahler, which was named after Julius Mahler, the first owner of the villa that stood on the spot of the present Design Hotel Royal. The café with its terrace is located right next to the Lungomare seaside promenade. Visitors can choose from a wide range of homemade cakes and desserts made at the Milenij Hotels. A beautiful view of the sea and the Lungomare promenade can also be enjoyed from the hotel s restaurant.
