The architecture of the two-storey complex might remind visitors of the fifties, when most tourists would come to the island country of Cuba on gambling trips around the local casinos. Today, however, the main thing that attracts visitors to the area is not the gambling, but the diving. In fact, the International Diving Centre Marina Colony is just 5 minutes away by bus and the majority of the hotel's guests share a common and deep passion for scuba diving. Indeed, given the remote location of the colony – 42 km from the city of Nueva Gerona, there are limited entertainment options and activities outside the pool, bar, lobby and restaurant. But the sunsets are fabulous and well worth it.
