The hotel is located in Niquero, a fishing port and town in the province of Granma, in Cuba. Niquero, about 2 hours from Bayamo, the provincial capital, and a few hours from the tourist destinations of Holguín and Santiago de Cuba, is a good base from which to visit the UNESCO-listed Desembarco del Granma National Park, named after the yacht in which Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Raúl Castro and their supporters sailed from Mexico to Cuba and incited the Cuban Revolution. Visitors may choose to explore peaceful Bayamo on a horse-drawn carriage and enjoy some of its monuments and squares or head for Santiago de Cuba with its rich colonial and cultural heritage.
