The Capri is a 19-story hotel / 220 rooms located in the central area of Vedado, just a few meters from the Malecón, the popular promenade.
It was built in late 1957 with money from the mafia, the hotel was so frequented by Americans gangsters even mentioned in The Godfather, was in his time one of the largest hotel / casino and today is one of the three hotels architecturally important of Havana.
Hollywood stars also frequented the hotel and pool roof appears in films. It has recently been renovated following the contemporary trends without losing its original style while maintaining its charm as it had in the 50s. If you like history, this is definitely your hotel.
