This pleasant hotel enjoys a great location on Bantry Bay and, at 250 years, is one of the oldest hotels in Ireland. There are breathtaking views to be had from here, which is also the ideal starting point from to explore the glorious countryside. The rugged mountains and attractive lakes of the Beara Way, as well as the Gougane Barra valley, can all be easily reached from the hotel.One of the oldest established hotels in Ireland, which features a foyer with reception desk and lifts, has a total of 66 rooms. The original building dates back to 1765. The hotel has been completely modernised but has maintained all period features. On-site parking spaces are available for those arriving by car.The comfortably furnished rooms all come with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, an Internet connection and satellite/ cable TV.Golf, pony trekking, mountain hiking and salmon fishing are on offer here.The excellent restaurant boasts panoramic views of Bantry Bay. No train service, public bus transport from Cork station. By car, from Dublin travel through Jack Lynch Tunnel and follow N71.
