The Arima Hot Spring is the oldest hot spring resort in Japan. It dates back to the mythological age, and is steeped in an atmosphere of tradition, prestige, and friendliness. The hot water contains a large amount of iron and salt. There are two types of springs : ?gold spring?,copper in color, and ?silver spring?, transparent radium water. There is also carbonated spring water. It is said that taking bath in these two different water alternately and drinking the carbonated water will cure all ailments.
