This is an excellently located hotel with a heated indoor pool, gym, private and communal spas, sauna and massage. The hotel offers a nightly Maori "hangi" feast and cultural performance set in the atrium area of the swimming pool and brasserie area. The medium-sized rooms are well appointed with all amenities. The quality of both the bedrooms and bathrooms is excellent following a refurbishment in 2005. The bedding configurations is either two double beds or one king bed. Some rooms are able to add a rollaway bed for triple bed requirements. The bathrooms are generally quite small. Rooms overlooking Lake Rotorua and the Polynesian spa, have balconies. Complimentary tea/coffee facilities. There are two restaurants, the Brasserie a more informal dining option and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Nikau, is more formal fine dining. The lobby Bar Zazu is a great place for cocktails. Each evening there is a Maoril cultural show and dinner (Hangi) on offer. The lobby is large and has plenty of comfortable seating. At one end of the lobby area is a Bar.
This hotel has an excellent location, very close to the shores of lake Rotorua and a five minute stroll to the heart of the city's shopping precinct. It is twenty minutes by car to Rotorua airport.
