A great new property in the Mount cook region. Excellent views towards Lake Tekapo. Great for a one night stop while touring the south island, or a longer stay to take advantage of the stunning scenery and the large range of activities in the area. Activities depend on the time of year, in summer mountain biking, gliding, horse riding, fishing and hiking and during the winter, skiing, ice skating and curling. Throughout the year some of the best star gazing in the world is available from the nearby Mount John observatory, and for those very lucky people the chance to see the Southern Lights. The rooms are spacious and in very good condition as the resort has opened in January 2008. Floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors to a small balcony. Light coloured carpets, drapes and walls all increase the feeling of a light filled and spacious room. Facilities include large flat screen LCD tv with cable channels, complimentary tea and coffee. Large bathrooms with separate bathtub and shower and double sink units. The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner, with an adjoining lounge offer snacks throughout the day. Both the restaurant and the lounge have amazing views over lake Tekapo and the mountains surrounding. A small lobby.
On the edge of the township of Lake Tekapo. Set back from the highway that links Christchurch to Queenstown.
