This is really a very basic hotel, but despite its lack of glamour it is an unpretentious and straightforward property and perfectly comfortable and clean.
The rooms are small and basic. They are really only in fair condition with rather gloomy decor, but are nonetheless clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are also only in fair condition.
The restauruant is rather old fashioned in appearance, but at least less bleak than the rooms. Windows the length of the room afford diners lovely views over the fjord.
The lobby area is small but adjoins a lovely lounge and bar area. The hotel also has a small pub which is much frequented by the locals.
Location
The hotel is in the centre of the picturesuqe resort of Ulvik at the westernmost end of the famous Hardangerfjord.
