The hotel was named after the emperor that lived in the old castle- palace that is the parador today. The building conserves its original walls and drawbridge. The two storey building centres around the splendid couryard adorned with old coats of arms. The front section of the patio has a cloister on one side and some large windows cut out of stone on the other.
