This rustic and grand hotel was once the hunting lodge of the Marqueses de Larios family who are well known in the city of Malaga. It lies in the middle of a nature reserve, 800 m above sea level. Here guests may enjoy life in the mountains without having to go without the facilities of a good hotel. The centre of Marbella, where public transport links may be found, lies around 15 km away. The beach is roughly 20 km from the hotel, whereas Malaga airport is roughly 70 km away.||This hotel, with its exquisite service, has already accommodated many well known people who valued the tranquillity of the area for relaxation. Guests have included Charles de Gaulle, who in 1970 finished writing his memoirs here and Alfonso XIII, for whom the hotel was one of his favourite retreats.
