The refurbishment is taking place between 9.00 - 17.00 and will cause minimum disruption to guests.***This 3-star hotel is ideally situated right in the heart of the historic City of York. The Hotel overlooks the gateway to the Museum gardens; the 11th Century church of St Olafs and the remains of St Mary's Abbey. The main shopping area of York is less than five minutes walk away and the peaceful river Ouse runs majestically by at the end of the street. The Jorvik dates back to the 1750s and has 22 en-suite bedrooms, which provide comfortable accommodation. The hotel restaurant seats 50 people with a varied menu offering locally sourced food prepared and cooked to the highest standards. You can also enjoy a quiet drink in the hotel bar at any time of the day, or choose to relax in the tranquil garden. The Hotel has its own small private car park which is allocated to guests free of charge. This is offered to guests on a first come first served basis and is not available for pre booking; also the car park is not suitable for larger car types as the entrance is narrow. However there is a large capacity NCP car park 2 minutes walk from the Hotel.
