This motel-style lodge is ideally located in the southwest area of the Grand Canyon Village, just a short walk from the canyon. Nestled within several acres of Ponderosa pine forest it welcomes all outdoor types. The original establishment dates back to the 1927 and was constructed by Fred Harvey Company and the Santa Fe Railroad, when travelling by automobile to the parks was quickly becoming fashionable. The only architectural component remaining from historic lodge buildings are the original stone pillar, everything else has been rebuild. The rooms feature either 2 large queen-size beds or a single king-size one and guests can request a roll-away beds if needed. For dining there is a food court from where one can grab a sandwich or other types of ready-made food and a sports bar with a wide screen TV, where to catch a game and chill with a beer.
