Entry to each suite is by sliding glass door that provides a light filled living and sleeping area. Stepping down to the lower level reveals panoramic views of the sweeping plains to Borobudur and onto Mount Sumbing. The Resort rests amongst verdant terraced rice fields and coconut, clove and citrus groves with mountain streams bordering the property on two sides. The architecture of Amanjiwo draws from the history, tradition and culture of Central Java, widely recognised as the birthplace of modern day culture found throughout Indonesia. The Dining Room looks out onto the crescent-shaped Terrace, with its banquette seating, brass tables, teak-wood chairs and Yogya batik cushions. The view from the Terrace is particularly arresting at dawn and twilight, or after the cleansing rain, when the world of Java clears, revealing more than the rice fields of the Kedu Plain.
