Though the forest itself is perhaps less of a novelty for foreign visitors than for Icelanders this hotel is very well situated as a base for exploring the untouched beauty of eastern Iceland. The rooms are small and simple, but in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. The restaurant is modern and cosy. The small lobby is simple but welcoming.
