This rural country house, featuring several separate cottages is located on the north coast of the island - Santana - a place classified as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Two of the main points of attraction that can be found in the vicinity are the Madeira Theme Park, a place well worth a visit, and the typical houses of Santana in the centre of the village, distinguished by its triangular shape and roofs covered with straw. The airport is about 40 km away and Funchal, the capital of the island, is approximately a 45-minute drive away.This family-run country house is comprised of 7 small cottages surrounded by a garden; all are independent and can be studio type. In addition there are 1 or 2-bedroom cottages. There is a TV lounge, a small bar and a car park for those arriving by car. There is a barbecue area and a room with a fully equipped kitchen, for the communal use of all guests. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and especially for walkers - many of the famous 'Levada' walks on the island have their starting point in Santana.Each cottage is equipped with a bedroom and bathroom and all accommodation is en suite with shower, bath and hairdryer. Further features include satellite/cable TV, a safe and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a living room/dining area and a porch with a small garden.Fans of the fairway can head to the nearest golf course, Santo da Serra, which is approximately 30 km from the country house.A continental breakfast is served at the country house.

These spacious rooms, which also feature a custom built golf bag rack are decorated in a classical style combining comfort and warmth. Whereas the wooden furniture is dark toned, the enthraling curtains and bedspreads are red. Most rooms have views of the adjoining gardens. At the hotel's dining room, guests may enjoy a wide variety of menus presented by their award winning French chef who mixes traditional Portuguese dishes with culinary expertise, to create an a la Carte menu which has already been recognized in Madeira as one of the finest on the island. The bistro restaurant is situated circa 500 metres from the hotel, in the Palheiro Golf Clubhouse. The ideal place for a light meal during the day or an early dinner, the panoramic terrace offers some of the most breathtaking views in Madeira, overlooking the bay of Funchal. The lobby which is small in size is decorated in the same classical style as the rest of the building.

Next to the House starts a levada, a path alongside a small open waterline, conecting the green rural areas in the west with the city of Funchal.
