Boega Hotel is a seventeenth century manor house with extensive gardens overlooking the river Minho. The property, with 70,000 m2, is located on the outskirts of Vila Nova de Cerveira and the Camino de Santiago crosses it. The Hotel Boega began as a pilgrims hostel. It was built around a cloister with a wishing fountain. The Hotel has three buildings Casa del Presidente, Casa Principal and Casa de Campo. The Boega Hotel is situated in Vila Nova de Cerveira. The bar disco and sitting-room are in a separate building, at one time used as the garrison prison. Architecturally there is much to be said for preserving the original buildings individually.
