The hotel Pelayo is a great value 1* budget hotel in an excellent central location, just off the Playa Catalonya, next to the famous Las Ramblas allowing for much of the city to be explored on foot. All rooms are basic but comfortable with en-suite facilities, safe, air-conditioning and television. This hotel is excellent value for money! Guest are advised that the breakfast consits of tea, coffee and cakes on a self service basis from the reception area. (guests are advised that there is no step free access to the elevators).

Hotel Peninsular is definitely a hotel with history. It used to be an old monastery and now converted into a family run hotel preserving an amazing ancient patio garden and many other features. Rooms are medium in size and simply furnished with tiled preserved floors and small bathrooms. A very nice cafeteria which can be found on the ground floor serving continental breakfast in the morning. Hotel is ideal those on a budget wanting to be in the heart of Barcelona.
