Qudos, located right in the City centre is a quintessential Victorian Hotel which has recently been refurbished to a high standard, whilst retaining its original period charm. The downstairs has been extensively refurbished to provide a chic new bar and contemporary restaurant. Qudos proudly promotes the venue as unique having a dedicated area where musicians can come and perform playing all music styles from Blues to Jazz, Acoustic Rock to Classical music. We are a live music venue , so please note the music from the bands will be audible until 23:30 on Thursdays ,Fridays and Saturdays, Recorded music is then played until 00:30. Residents are invited to enjoy all the music offered whilst being assured we keep strict guidelines on the times of the music to ensure the quiet enjoyment of our guests. The hotel itself has just undergone a major facelift. Rooms are all decorated in relaxing muted tones, with big comfortable beds, plasma screens and large, clean bathrooms. Check in is from 15.00 hours onwards until midnight. Check out is by 10.30 am or upon arrangement for later check outs. "We have a private parking area in a car park 100 meters from the Hotel on the road called Avon Approach. Parking is by pre-booking and costs £7.50 per day. Upon arrival at the hotel we will issue you a daily permit in the bar area. Breakfast is available from 8AM - Can be booked as an additional extra on the booking form. Qudos is an excellent place from which to visit Salisbury and its surrounding countryside, whilst being able to sample some fantastic music in what is Salisbury's premier over 25's bar and restaurant. The Hotel consists of 20 bedrooms and is located in the heart of Salisbury,just a few minutes' walk from the Salisbury Cathedral, shops, restaurants and local attractions. We are just 20 minutes' drive from Stonehenge and the rolling countryside of Wiltshire, with all its historical gardens, houses and walkways. We are also a great business stop-over with FREE WIFI throughout and located just 5 minutes from the Salisbury train station, 40 minutes from Bournemouth or Southampton airport and 50 minutes from Portsmouth harbour. Sundays and throughout the week, we offer a quiet, relaxed environment. At the weekend, the busy venue bar on the ground floor is open until 2am and is part of the Salisbury club circuit. All our rooms have secondary glazing, but you may hear some street noise in some of the rooms on weekend nights. The hotels bedrooms have been fully refurbished in a contemporary style and offer lots of extras -free wifi, flat-screen TVs with Freeview, plentiful tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplies. Bedrooms are accessible via stairs or an original wood-panelled passenger lift. All rooms have ironing boards,hairdryers, ceiling fans, a small safe and a high standard of towelling and linen. There are heated towel rails in all bathrooms. The rooms do not have telephones or air conditioning. Parking is just two minutes away at pay and display car parks. (Loading bay at the hotel entrance for check in/out.) We have adjoining rooms to suit families or groups, along with a selection of double rooms with king sized beds or single rooms. You can relax in your bedroom after a stroll around the historic City of Salisbury or after dining in our restaurant or you can join the locals in the lounge area by an open log fire lit during the winter months. You can enjoy breakfast from 7.00am until 10am Monday to Saturday and from 8am until 10am on Sunday.
The stone for the Salisbury Cathedral, a mere five minute walk away, was cut in what is now the restaurant, making the hotel’s initial construction almost 800 years old. Some of the original stone and ironwork is still left exposed inside the property.
