This is a delightful family run hotel with a great atmosphere and warm comfortable surroundings. A major refurbishment was completed in 2003 of bedrooms and the main gathering place, The Kiln Lounge. All rooms have ensuite facilities and are simple yet comfortable in style with warm furnishings and good lighting. They are maintained to a good standard with a major refurbishment in 2003. The Covenanters is renowned for its variety of good food cooked using local produce. The Kiln Lounge Bar, situated in the 'mill section' of the building, offers an extensive menu. The Eren Restaurant provides a more formal dining atmosphere. The lobby area is medium in size but welcoming. Information about local tourist attractions and events is available.

This is an excellent quality hotel with beautiful views. The rooms are medium in size, on average, and are all in excellent condition. All rooms are decorated with light wooden furniture and pastel colours. All bathrooms are medium in size and in very good condition. The restaurant is on the ground floor and serves a variety of Scottish dishes. The lobby is medium in size and decorated in a traditional style with an adjoning seating area.
