Designed by AECOM, the 111-room Yanqi Hotel, managed by Kempinski, is located on Yanqi Island and is surrounded by magnificent views of Yanshan Mountain, and the Mutianyu Great Wall.
The design of Yanqi Hotel is inspired by the Chinese philosophy - ‘Man – Nature’ coordination and the value of modern China - ‘China – World’ interaction. The mountain view from the guestrooms and the view ‘looking out’ to the marina, shows intimate interaction with the natural surroundings. From the roof, the wall and the inside yard, the traditional Chinese courtyard concept plays into all the details to enhance the guest experience of space, ray of light and the most coalescing of Yanqi Lake.
Facilities on Yanqi Island include the 8,277-square-metre Beijing Yanqi Lake International Conference Centre, 1,001 square metres of meeting space at Yanqi Hotel, 12 Boutique Hotels with a total of 178 rooms, a marina, the Yanqi Pagoda, Kempsinki The Spa, recreational and fitness facilities, and an array of culinary offerings at its five restaurants and bars.
