The hotel also offers sauna and solarium. A highly recommended property in the mountains of the black forest and they also have their own petting zoo which is great for families and children. 1009 SR Rooms are traditional in design and typical of the Black Forest area. They are in good condition although basic but are clean and the bathrooms are in good condition. Most rooms also have small balcony. The lobby is small in size but welcoming. The building was first built in 1313 however there have been structural changes since this time but many in keeping with the traditional exterior of a Black Forest property. The exterior is light in colour and features dark wood paneling. The restaurant serves traditional regional cuisine and much produce from the local area is often used. The dinning area is again traditional and comprises of wooden seats and wall panelling traditional of the area but providing a cosy atmosphere. There is also a sun terrace and a large beer garden area that can be used in the summer allowing for a true mountain dining experience.
The hotel is located at a height of 670m above see level in the area of the Hamersbach valley near a small village area called Fichbach.
