The historic Hotel Metropolis re-opened its doors in the heart of Ioannina, surrounded by all major historical, cultural and commercial attractions. The hotel, located at 33 Averof Street, dominates the area imposingly and is equally distant from the old town castle, the picturesque lake Pamvotis, the city`s down-town business & commercial district, the historic center with its vibrant and exclusive nightlife, the shopping districts as well as the excellent archaeological museum. The neoclassical building, having retained every detail of the exterior architecture, holds an unexpected surprise for the guest with its unique interior design as it was constructed entirely from scratch in the interest of discreet luxury of modern boutique hotels. The sixteen guestrooms of 1934 have given way to nine luxurious rooms, each one with its own unique and distinct design. The top class aesthetics of the rooms predisposes the guest to an enjoyable and relaxing stay. All nine rooms are equipped with luxurious bed frames and mattresses from “Coco-mat,” placed opposite to one of the many windows and fringed with high quality furniture and fixtures. The ample natural lighting during the day and the concealed artificial room lighting at night provides a unique feeling of warmth and affection. A comfortable desk in each room enables personal and professional work away from the nuisance of the city thanks to the advanced soundproof design applied to the building. The luxurious en suite bathrooms, branded toiletries and other accessories ensure moments of endless pleasure and relaxation. On the ground floor, guests have the opportunity to enjoy local delicacies and gourmet cuisine in the cozy café – bistro.
