The 5-star Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is a luxurious self-contained retreat offering ultimate relaxation courtesy of its natural assets combined with modern comforts. Highlights of the retreat include beautifully presented villas complete with modern amenities, a unique setting and excellent facilities including a health food restaurant, cave bar and spa.The retreat is nestled amongst a 16.5 acre tropical rainforest valley with a backdrop of magnificent limestone hills and. Natural attractions on offer at the resort include a steam cave, ice baths and geothermal hot springs. Guests can also travel into Ipoh which plays host to a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The retreat comprises of a collection of individual wooden hut style buildings with thatched roofs. The spa at the heart of the retreat offers ultimate relaxation and pampering for guests. Ancient Indian, Malaysian and Chinese therapies are incorporated into the decadent treatments on offer, which include facials, massages and steam baths. Beauty treatments and personalised fitness sessions are also on offer. Alternatively guests can swim in the private pools which come with each villa or choose their own work out in the onsite gym, relax in the library or simply explore the retreat. Guests can savour fine, seafood, meats and vegetable dishes at the Pomelo restaurant which bases its dishes on nutritious and healthy spa friendly recipes. After a meal a visit to Jeff s Cellar is recommended. This is a wine bar set in an extraordinary 280-million year palaeozoic cave, where guests can sample a huge range of wines as they admire the natural water feature set amongst the unique space. Water Villa s measure 508sqm approximately and are set alongside a magnificent lake. Each villa is designed around one of the natural elements of earth, water or stone and showcases an elegant Malaysian style decor. Villa s feature their own balcony/terrace, private plunge pool, rainwater shower and Jacuzzi. Bedroom include a large bed, bedside tables and wardrobe and a safe, while the open plan living room areas include sofa seating, a flat-screen TV with satellite/cable channels, Bose stereo system, mini-bar, telephone and a radio. Free Wi-Fi and car parking is available throughout the retreat.
