Located in the heart of Suffolk, the Rutland Arms is built around a cobbled courtyard that dates from the reign of Charles II, circa 1651. Many of the original features can still be seen in the hotel and although the comfort and atmosphere is most definitely modern, the two combine impeccably. This is a perfect place from which to go and explore the sights of Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and West Stow Country Park. The 46 attractively furnished en-suite bedrooms offer comfort and style in equal measures. The rooms are individually yet traditionally furnished in a grand style with original antique pieces. Rooms are generally of a medium size with amenities including tea and coffee making facilities, TV and direct dial telephone. Fine English and Continental cuisine is served in the Saddle Room Restaurant, prepared using fresh, local ingredients, while informal dining is available in the Nell Gwen Bar and Bistro. The lobby is small is size and is traditionally decorated, with an adjoining seating area.
