This is a welcoming hotel which offers high standard of accommodation in an appealing location. Hotel bedrooms are medium sized, designed in typical modern Scandinavian style and are in good condition. Rooms to the rear of the hotel have balconies that overlook a scenic pineforest. Blue and light pine, bright curtains of northern lights colours, large picture frames. The restaurant is located on the ground floor just off the lobby. It is a large room decorated mainly in pink with rustic-style pine furniture. There is normally a large and sumptuous buffet. Although the lobby area is small, the pine and pastel shades with which it is decorated emit a bright and airy atmosphere. There is limited seating in the adjacent hotel bar which also features a roaring log fire.

The Hotel has a coffee shop. All 56 rooms are equipped with hairdryer.

Hotel Kakslauttanen offers traditional wood cabins with a private sauna, kitchenette and garden area. Snowmobiling and dog sledding is possible. The main restaurant serves Laplandic specialties such as reindeer and char-grilled salmon. The Snow Restaurant and ice bar are open during winter months. Kakslauttanen Hotel’s 2 communal saunas have a shared terrace. Each has a relaxation room with an open fireplace. A nearby ice hole is ideal for cooling off. Northern Lights bus tours, Arctic Ocean trips, along with husky and reindeer safaris can be arranged. Guests can also rent cross-country skis, Nordic walking sticks and snow shoes. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby.
