The bathrooms are with showers only. Check in/ lobby is in the main building - Hotel Zum Rappen. The hotel is a small concrete building. Meals are taken next door at the Zum rappen sister hotel.

The hotel offers a pleasant and relaxing product within the city walls. Due to the age of the building the rooms vary in shape and size but are all in good condition. The bathrooms are shower only. All around the hotel are old pieces of furniture and ornaments, depicting the medieval years of the past. The restaurant, which is located on the ground floor at the front of the building and is also open to the general public is decorated with wood panelling, old ornaments and brick-a-brack, becoming a very cosy, bavarian style restaurant in the evening. The reception area is very small. It combines the check-in desk and a very limited seating area. It is furnished in a warm, homely style.

A good choice for all travellers wishing to visit Rothenburg. The bedrooms are comfortable and homely and due to the age of the hotel, vary in shape, size and furnishings, though on average they are small and in good condition, as are the bathrooms. Their style is not particularly grand, but perfectly acceptable for this class of property. The two restaurants are quite different, one is more modern, bright and airy and the other is of a more franconian style, with wooden beams and more traditional furniture. There is also a bar which has an open fire, brickwork walls, wooden ceiling and heavy wooden furniture, thus creating a more relaxing and cosy atmosphere. The lobby is small but attractively decorated to reflect the local franconian style and charm, with carved wooden furnishings and beamed ceilings.
