This hotel may be rather old fashioned, but its stunning location and friendly Norwegian mountain atmosphere more than make up for it. The rooms are small and simply furnished with the exception of new, but traditional looking Norwegian-style four poster beds in dark green with intricate red and white hand-painted designs. The bathrooms which are rather old fashioned are, like the rooms, in good condition. The restaurant is huge. It is simply furnished and enjoys fabulous views. The lobby is small and old fashioned with limited seating, but various old Norwegian artifacts on display throughout the public areas raise the tone and give the hotel a cosy welcoming atmosphere.

This is a simple no-nonsense property in a practical if not especially visually interesting location. The rooms are of a medium size and they have been decorated in soft pastel shades. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in good condition though they are a little old fashioned in places. The hotel's dining room is quite spacious and is well presented and is extremely popular with the local people of Stryn. The lobby area is ultra modern with fully glazed walls and ceiling, a polished granite floor and a slightly incongruously rustic reception desk.
