Other cities easily visited by car from the parador are Cuenca famous for its Hanging Houses and the Ciudad Encantada (The Enchanted City) which resembles a silent ghost city because of the singular stone shapes. The ones in the tower deserve to be highlighted, from the castle windows there are delightful views of the town, the deep gorge and the river Jucar surrounded by the plains of Cuenca.
