Typical of apartment style properties the lobby is small, however the reception is well manned with friendly, multilingual staff.

San Mateo is a 4 star Mediterranean style medium rise building with just 29 apartments consisting of 1 bedroom, 2 Bedroom Family, and 2 bedroom 2 bathroom Sub Penthouse and Penthouse units all with balconies. Many units have ocean views. All units have a queen bed, two bedroom apartments have two single beds in second BR and the penthouse apartments vary but some have a queen bed, double bed and a single bed while others have a queen and two single beds. Many apartments also have a pull-out sofa bed. All apartments are fully self-contained with dishwasher, microwave and full stove, washing machine and dryer Remote control television with free Foxtel is available in all units. Linen, bath towels, soap and starter tea/coffee/milk and small toiletries are supplied.
